According to ТСН: In Kyiv, the operation of the Ferris wheel in Podil has been temporarily stopped due to safety threats to visitors. The attraction has been seized by court order.

The Podil District Court supported the request of the Podil District Prosecutor's Office and imposed a ban on the 'Ferris Wheel' attraction located at Kontraktova Square. The use of the attraction is prohibited.

Visitor safety at risk

Experts during the inspection found that the metal structures of the wheel are supported by wooden beams that are in unsatisfactory condition. This creates a real risk of accidents with possible injuries or fatalities. Due to these dangerous conditions, prosecutors insisted on an urgent halt to the operation of the attraction to ensure public safety.

The court ruled in favor of the prosecution, and for now, the Ferris wheel will remain under arrest until all technical safety violations are corrected.
