Woman Convicted for Child Exploitation

According to TSN.ua: A court in Kyiv has sentenced a woman to 11 years in prison for exploiting her 8- and 10-year-old daughters in the production of pornography. She was found guilty of creating and distributing child sexual abuse material. This case highlights the ongoing efforts by Ukrainian authorities to combat such crimes, which are a global concern.

The children have been removed from their mother's custody and are now in the care of their fathers. Additionally, the woman's underage goddaughter was involved in the case and received a five-year suspended sentence with a two-year probation period.

Man Detained for Possession of Child Abuse Material

In a separate case in Kharkiv, a 42-year-old man was detained for sexually abusing his 4-year-old stepdaughter and possessing over 23,000 files of child sexual abuse material. Cyber police searches uncovered approximately 500 photos and videos documenting the abuse of the child. The perpetrator faces up to eight years in prison.

These cases underscore the severe problem of child sexual exploitation in Ukraine, which continues to alarm both society and law enforcement.
