The European Union is considering the possibility of imposing sanctions against China for supplying arms to Russia for use against Ukraine. This was reported by FAZ.
The EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell, informed EU member states about the relevant intelligence ahead of the foreign ministers' meeting scheduled for next Monday. The senior EU diplomat confirmed the existence of 'compelling evidence' of lethal weapon supplies.
According to him, the European Union should consider the full range of available tools, including new restrictions for Chinese companies, asset freezes, and entry bans.
According to an investigation by Reuters, a subsidiary of the Russian defense conglomerate 'Almaz-Antey' called 'Kupol' has developed and tested a new long-range combat drone in China. The Garpiya-3 (G3) unmanned aerial vehicle can carry a payload of 50 kilograms over a distance of up to 2000 kilometers.
