The countries of the European Union are discussing measures in response to the deployment of North Korean troops on Russian territory.
This was reported by EU representative for international affairs and security policy Nabila Massrali.
"The ongoing military support of DPRK for Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine will be met appropriately. The European Union will join its efforts with international partners regarding this situation, including possible responses. As you know, the EU Council's Political and Security Committee is holding meetings with the South Korean delegation... Of course, these discussions must remain confidential, so we cannot disclose more details"
Massrali also reported that the head of EU foreign affairs and security policy Josep Borrell will travel to Seoul at the end of this week. He will co-chair the next EU - Republic of Korea meeting on November 4.
