Rocket strike on Dnipro: doctor speaks about horrors in the ICU.
According to ТСН: Dozens of people with serious injuries are in the hospital in Dnipro due to a rocket strike from Russia. The director of the medical facility shared his emotions and details about rescuing the victims.
Situation in the hospital
According to the director of Mechnikov Hospital, the situation is catastrophic: “Blood is flowing from the stretchers... Dnipro shook after the explosion, and numerous ambulances rushed to the Mechnikov emergency room. It is hard to be strong when rockets are flying in.”
The hospital is filled with dozens of critically wounded, many of whom are women. As noted by the director, the injured are usually men, who more often become victims of war. But the horrific injuries suffered by women, with severed limbs and wounded eyes, indicate the terrible consequences of the rocket explosion. “At least a dozen wounds in each body. Many could not breathe. People were put on ventilators,” he added.
Work of the medics
“All surgeons and anesthesiologists at Mechnikov are in the operating rooms, saving the lives of ordinary Dnipro residents. War spares no one. Rockets tear bodies apart and instantly reach the souls of everyone who sees and feels this,” sadly stated Serhiy Ryzhenko.
It is worth noting that on December 1, the Russian army carried out a rocket strike on Dnipro, resulting in the deaths of four people.
This horrific incident once again confirms that war brings suffering not only at the front but also in peaceful cities. Doctors are doing everything possible to help the injured, but the need for fast and quality medical care remains critical amidst the growing number of casualties.
