Lyashko announced plans for the restoration of Okhmatdyt

The Ministry of Health believes that the damaged building of the 'Okhmatdyt' hospital, which was a victim of a Russian missile attack, can be restored by 2025, and plans to begin the construction of another new building.

Health Minister Viktor Lyashko stated this, as reported by Ukrinform.

'I think we will be able to fully restore the new building by 2025 and start constructing another innovative building on the territory of 'Okhmatdyt'', he said.

According to Lyashko, the medical facility is fully prepared to operate in the cold season of 2024-2025.

'Necessary emergency works have been carried out, the hospital is functioning, providing medical assistance. This was the most important task. The technical report has been completed, emergency works are finished. Now... the design of the new building will begin. A project with a budget will be developed, and a tender for complete restoration will be held on the 'Prozorro' platform. Not emergency, but complete restoration,' the minister explained.

He also noted that for the restoration of the building, the Ministry of Health has involved the best design organizations in Ukraine, which conducted a comprehensive technical report.

'Currently, we are working on the project, there are funds for restoration, as well as funds collected in the 'Okhmatdyt' fund account, which are frozen and waiting for the selection of a company to carry out the work. There are also two historical buildings currently under design. Work on the projects has already been conducted. After the conservation of architectural monuments, their restoration will begin. The Department of Culture of the Kyiv City State Administration will handle decisions of national and regional significance,' Lyashko said.
