The healthcare budget will increase by 38 billion: where the money will go.
According to inkorr.com: The Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Liashko met with the heads of regional military administrations to discuss the draft state budget for next year. Plans are to allocate 258 billion UAH for healthcare, which is 38 billion more than last year.
Our task is to ensure consistency in actions, sustainability in policy implementation and accountability at every level of the healthcare system.
It is also planned to allocate 191.6 billion UAH for the financing of the Medical Guarantee Program, which is 16 billion more than this year. This will improve access to medical assistance, increase doctors' salaries and ensure they have the necessary medications.
Investments in healthcare
It is planned to implement over 186 investment projects in 2026 with a total cost of more than 39 billion UAH. These funds will be directed to various areas, such as maternity and childhood, oncological assistance, medical education, and rehabilitation.
Viktor Liashko discussed the draft state budget for next year in detail, noting the increase in healthcare spending and financing of medical guarantees. Serious investments in this area are also planned to improve medical services and support various areas of healthcare.
The adoption of this budget will be an important step in the development of the healthcare system in Ukraine. In particular, the allocation of additional funds for medical guarantees promises to improve access to medical services for the population. Investments in new projects will help modernize medical infrastructure and improve the quality of treatment, which is especially relevant in the context of the current challenges.
