Drone Attack on Lviv
According to UATV: On March 24, 2023, Lviv came under attack from Russian strike drones, causing injuries and damage to cultural heritage sites. According to Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi, seven people were hospitalized. The assault inflicted significant material damage, including harm to the nationally significant architectural landmark—the Bernardine Monastery Complex.
A second drone struck a residential building in the Sykhiv district, while drone debris was reported on Bandera Street. Critical infrastructure facilities in two communities were also affected. The attack is ongoing as of now, raising alarm among residents of the city and neighboring regions. This incident underscores the persistent threat to urban centers and heritage sites amid the conflict.
Situation in Other Cities
Beyond Lviv, drone strikes were also recorded in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, and Vinnytsia. As noted by regional military administration head Maksym Kozytskyi, specialists will assess the extent of the damage. The situation remains tense, with local authorities working to manage the aftermath.
