Russian Shaheds attacked Volyn: over 100 thousand subscribers without electricity.
According to ТСН: The State Emergency Service of Ukraine published photos and videos of the consequences of the Russian attack on the Volyn region that occurred on the night of January 1. Rescuers successfully extinguished all fires.
According to information published on the service's Telegram channel, after the massive attack by Russian drones on Volyn, emergency workers fought fires at critical infrastructure facilities.
According to preliminary data, it was possible to avoid casualties and injuries. More than 90 rescuers and over 20 pieces of equipment participated in extinguishing the fires.
Consequences of the attack
The drone attack caused significant disruptions in electricity supply. Russian “Shaheds” hit critical infrastructure facilities, resulting in more than 103 thousand subscribers in Lutsk and the Kovel district being left without electricity. Fires broke out at the impact sites.
The situation in Volyn remains tense as rescue services are working to restore electricity supply and eliminate the consequences of the attack. Attacks on critical infrastructure facilities have become a frequent occurrence, underscoring the need to enhance readiness for emergency response.
