Russian Attacks Target Ukrainian Cities on March 24
According to UATV: On March 24, 2023, Russian forces launched a series of strikes against multiple Ukrainian cities, employing both drones and missiles. The assaults resulted in fatalities, numerous injuries, and severe damage to infrastructure.
Affected Cities and Casualties
The cities hit in the attack were:
- Lviv
- Vinnytsia
- Ivano-Frankivsk
- Zaporizhzhia
- Dnipro
According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, more than 40 people were hurt in the shelling. In Lviv, 26 individuals sustained injuries. Vinnytsia reported one man killed and 13 wounded. Ivano-Frankivsk saw two deaths and four injured. Zaporizhzhia recorded one fatality and 12 wounded, while in Dnipro, 13 people were hurt, including three children.
The attacks also caused significant destruction. In Lviv, a UNESCO World Heritage site was damaged. In Zaporizhzhia, approximately 30 buildings were affected by the strikes.
