According to ТСН: Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia and former President of the Russian Federation, has issued a threat regarding the possible capture of Greenland 'by means of a referendum' if Donald Trump does not act quickly about the island's accession to the United States.

This statement by Medvedev is quoted by Russian propaganda resources.

'But Trump needs to hurry. According to unverified information, a sudden 'referendum' may take place in a few days, during which the residents of the entire 55,000-population Greenland may vote for joining Russia. And then it's over! No new stars on the flag. And Russia will have a new — already the 90th — subject of the federation,' cynically stated Putin's henchman.

Medvedev also sarcastically suggested Trump seize European leaders such as Macron or Starmer.

Earlier, there was information that a bill concerning the 'annexation of Greenland' and its status as a state had been registered in the U.S. Congress.

Moreover, according to media reports, Donald Trump ordered the U.S. Special Operations Command to prepare a plan for a possible invasion of Greenland.

These statements by Medvedev reflect the tense situation in international politics and the growing ambitions of Russia on the world stage. The question of Greenland's status and the possibility of its annexation raises concerns not only in the U.S. but also among other countries, as such a development could radically change the geopolitical balance in the region. The response of Western countries to this provocation is yet to be known, as the situation remains tense.
