According to ТСН: Dmitry Medvedev, deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, sharply commented on the information about French President Emmanuel Macron's intentions to send about 6000 soldiers to Ukraine after a peace agreement.

He posted a video on his social media page X, demonstrating a strike by a ballistic missile "Oreshnik" on the Lviv region, and made a threatening statement about the possibility of war in Europe.

"The fools who rule Europe ultimately want war in Europe. It has been said a thousand times: Russia will not accept any European or NATO troops in Ukraine, but no, Macron continues to spread this pathetic nonsense," he noted, using a derogatory nickname for Macron.

Medvedev, a close associate of Putin, tries to intimidate Ukraine's European partners by mentioning the ballistic missile "Oreshnik," which is capable of carrying nuclear weapons.

"Well, let's see. Here is what you will get," he added, publishing unverified video of the strike by "Oreshnik" in Lviv region, which had already circulated on social media.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that the Russian terrorist army deliberately targeted the "Oreshnik" missile strike near the European Union border, causing damage in the Lviv region.

It should also be noted that Emmanuel Macron held closed consultations at the Élysée Palace regarding the possible deployment of several thousand French soldiers in Ukraine after signing a peace agreement with Russia.

This situation highlights the tensions between Russia and Western countries, particularly concerning military support for Ukraine. Medvedev's comments and France's actions indicate the continuation of a strategic game between the parties on the European continent, where security issues remain key. Threats from Russia once again cast doubt on the possibility of a peaceful resolution to the conflict, while neither side is willing to give up its positions.
