The Mayor of Odesa, Hennadiy Trukhanov, appointed a consultant advisor. For the next year, this role will be taken by Liliya Leonidova, a deputy of the Odesa City Council.
The basis for the appointment was the deputy's statement. In her position as the mayor's advisor, she will be responsible for issues related to ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men, as well as preventing and combating violence.
Liliya Leonidova began her duties on November 15. Previously, she was already an advisor to Trukhanov from October 2, 2023, until the beginning of October of the current year.
What is known about Liliya Leonidova
Liliya Leonidova was born on March 8, 1976, in the town of Staryi Krym, located in the Feodosia district of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. Until she was 16, she lived in the town of Yuzhnoukrainsk in the Mykolaiv region, then moved to Odesa, where she graduated from the Engineering and Construction Institute.
In 2015, she ran for office from the party 'Bloc of Petro Poroshenko', and in April 2020, she joined the deputy association 'Opposition Platform - For Life'. Currently, Leonidova is a member of the permanent deputy commission on social policy and labor issues, as well as being a member of two deputy groups 'Equal Opportunities' and 'Municipal Resources'.
