Former Mayor of Odesa Under House Arrest
According to inkorr.com: Former Mayor of Odesa Hennadiy Trukhanov has been placed under 60 days of round-the-clock house arrest and is required to wear an electronic bracelet. He is suspected of negligence in office that led to a tragedy during adverse weather conditions. Along with Trukhanov, charges have been brought against eight other individuals for failing to perform their official duties, which resulted in flooding and human casualties.
Sanctions Against Pro-Russian Elements
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has signed decrees imposing sanctions against pro-Russian propagandists and manufacturers from the Russian military-industrial complex. Also subject to restrictions are individuals and companies from China and Iran that circumvented sanctions and supplied products to Russia.
For the first time, Ukraine has handed over a Russian serviceman to Lithuania for criminal prosecution for war crimes related to torture and inhumane treatment of prisoners.
Missile Supplies and Financial Aid
The Pentagon has agreed to supply Ukraine with 'Tomahawk' missiles, stating that this will not affect U.S. stockpiles. Additionally, 20 million hryvnias have been provided to Ukraine as bail for former military officer from Odesa region Yevhen Borysov.
The situation with former mayor of Odesa, Hennadiy Trukhanov, remains in the spotlight.
