The Minister of Unity explained under what conditions 70% of Ukrainians will return abroad.
Oleksii Chernyshov, the Minister of National Unity, stated that after the end of the war and under stable conditions, 70% of Ukrainian citizens will return. He mentioned that initially, 30% of people will be able to return, and later another 40% will return.
Chernyshov emphasized that the decision to return should be made by each Ukrainian. At the same time, he noted that Ukraine must be competitive, as other countries will also compete for these 40% of people.
The Minister noted that the return of emigrants is necessary for the state, as without them, it will not be possible to double the GDP, engage in economic development, and rebuild the country.
It is worth recalling that earlier Chernyshov had already stated that after the end of the war, 30% of Ukrainians who left the country would remain in Europe.
It should also be noted that according to current legislation, when Ukrainians obtain a passport of another country, they are obliged to keep their Ukrainian passport. However, many people do not submit their Ukrainian passport and find themselves in legal troubles.
