Carbon monoxide poisoning in Brovary: one person died, another hospitalized.
According to ТСН: A tragedy occurred in Brovary: one person died, and another was hospitalized due to carbon monoxide poisoning.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service.
"The tragedy happened due to gross violations of safety rules - the generator was operating in the basement of an apartment building," the statement said.
Hazards of carbon monoxide
Let us remind you that in the Kirovohrad region, two children and an adult died from similar carbon monoxide poisoning.
Rescuers point out that carbon monoxide has no smell but is deadly dangerous. Generators are only permitted for use outdoors, at a safe distance from windows, doors, and ventilation openings. If you experience symptoms such as weakness, nausea, or dizziness, urgently call 103.
These cases once again emphasize the importance of following safety rules when using household appliances, especially in enclosed spaces. Carbon monoxide remains a hidden threat, so it is crucial to remember the dangers that can arise from the improper use of generators.
