Psychologist suspected of torturing a child in kindergarten: what happened.
According to ТСН: In the Holovanyvs'kyi district of Kirovohrad region, a 25-year-old psychologist from a preschool institution has been charged with systematic physical and psychological violence against a six-year-old child.
According to the Kirovohrad regional police, the woman, using her authority, inflicted physical pain on the child and threatened punishment for 'disobedience.' A forensic psychological examination confirmed that the numerous actions of the psychologist caused the child to experience fear, loss of a sense of security, anxiety, and other emotional problems.
Legal Consequences
The suspect is liable under Part 1 of Article 127 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (torture). According to the sanctions of the article, she faces imprisonment for a term of three to five years. The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Holovanyvs'kyi district police department under the procedural supervision of the district prosecutor's office.
It should be noted that a similar case was previously recorded in Kalush, Prykarpattia, where a 32-year-old mother is suspected of murdering her three-year-old child.
These cases raise important questions about the safety of children and the role of educational workers in their lives. It is crucial for society to emphasize the protection of children and timely response to any signs of violence, as psychological and physical abuse can have long-term consequences for their development.
