Explosions were reported in several districts, including the city center and the Sykhiv neighborhood. During the attack, an enemy drone hit close to a kindergarten where Karpa's daughter, Zlata, was present. The strike caused damage to residential buildings and a UNESCO World Heritage site.

"Lviv is burning. It was incredibly loud. While the emergency crew stood near the house, everyone was staring toward the kindergarten where Zlata goes. Smoke rose from somewhere nearby, and for two minutes no one replied in the kindergarten group chat… Honestly, I felt like everything inside me would turn upside down. A Shahed drone hit a residential building close by… It struck right next to us." — Natalka Karpa
