New Contracts for Military: Who Will Receive a Delay from Mobilization

According to inkorr.com: Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal announced the introduction of new contracts for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which will allow military personnel to receive a delay from service after the contract expires.

Conditions of the New Contracts

Contracts for a term of two years will grant the right to a delay from mobilization for 12 months. In contrast, one-year contracts will not provide such an opportunity.

Shmyhal emphasized that the implementation of the new model will require changes to legislation and a number of Cabinet resolutions. The documents are already under review and are planned to be publicly discussed at the beginning of 2026.

Financial Support for the Military

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky noted that the main financial support for military personnel will amount to 50-60 thousand UAH. This amount will be received by contractors, excluding additional payments for service on the front line.

At the instruction of the president, the Ministry of Defense has begun developing new types of contracts for military personnel, which will include increased monthly payments, signing bonuses, and an expanded social package.

Thus, the Ukrainian military department plans to implement new types of contracts for servicemen with various conditions, including delay from mobilization and improved financial support, with the aim of realizing these changes at the beginning of 2026.

These innovations aim to improve service conditions for military personnel and provide better financial support during difficult times. The changes could become an important step toward increasing motivation and stability within the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
