Ukraine's Ministry of Internal Affairs Introduces Appointment Scheduling by the Hour.
New Procedures for Service Center Appointments at Ukraine's Ministry of Internal Affairs
According to Novyny.live: Starting February 3, 2023, new procedures for scheduling appointments have been implemented at the service centers of Ukraine's Ministry of Internal Affairs. The key change allows citizens to select a specific appointment time using self-service terminals. This innovation is designed to improve service quality and reduce the long queues that have often formed at these centers. This reform is part of a broader effort to modernize public services in the country following the digitalization trends seen across Europe.
Advantages of the New System
Appointments made through self-service terminals will now be assigned a precise time slot. Citizens can independently choose an available booking for a specific hour, allowing for better personal schedule management. Furthermore, online booking is available up to 21 days in advance, providing greater convenience for planning visits to the service centers.
For those wishing to use the new options, a free mobile application called 'E-appointment' is also available for download from the App Store and Google Play. Experts believe this approach will significantly simplify the booking process and increase citizen satisfaction with the services provided.
“During registration for services via the terminals located in the MIA service centers, available appointments will have a specific time. This means a visitor can independently select a free booking for a particular hour.”
Sergiy Petrov, MIA Representative
The introduction of these new rules for organizing citizen appointments at MIA service centers is a significant step toward modernizing public services in Ukraine. Reducing queues and enabling advance booking for a precise time can positively impact the centers' operational efficiency and enhance public satisfaction. These changes also reflect the wider global trend toward the digitalization of government services, which is increasingly relevant in modern society.
