Hourly power outages are being introduced in Ukraine: reasons and schedules.

According to ТСН: The situation in the energy system remains extremely complicated, forcing energy workers to impose restrictions on electricity consumption nationwide. The National Energy Company "Ukrenergo" reported that these measures apply to all categories of consumers.

In an official statement from the company on Telegram, it was noted that starting from January 8, schedules for hourly outages (GPO) for household consumers will come into effect in all regions of Ukraine as instructed by the dispatch center. Power limitation schedules (GOP) will be applied for industrial enterprises.

The main reason for such measures is the consequences of missile and drone strikes by Russian troops on energy facilities, which have caused significant damage to generation and power grids.

Energy workers warn that the situation in the energy system may change. Consumers can find out the exact time and volume of outages for specific addresses on the official websites or pages of the distribution companies in their regions, as well as on local government and media resources.

"Ukrenergo" has urged Ukrainians to consume electricity sparingly when power is supplied according to the schedule.

It was previously reported that an attack occurred at one of DTEK's energy facilities in the Dnipropetrovsk region at night, resulting in a fire and damage to part of the equipment.

Against the backdrop of ongoing attacks on energy facilities, the country is experiencing a difficult period. Energy workers and the government urge all consumers to be conscious and adhere to the new electricity consumption rules. These measures are necessary to maintain stability in the energy system and ensure electricity supply amid military aggression.
