According to ТСН: At a meeting of the Defense Council, a decision was made on the mandatory evacuation of residents from 14 border villages in the Chernihiv region. This concerns the settlements of Novgorod-Seversky, Semenivka, Snovsk, and Horodnia communities.

It is known that border territories are subjected to daily shelling. Despite the serious threat, about 300 people still remain there. Since the beginning of the year, more than 1400 residents have left the border areas. Regional and local military administrations are actively working with communities to organize evacuation.

Evacuation process

The decision on mandatory evacuation was made by the military. Residents of 14 villages will receive information about gathering places, routes, and transport for departure. Temporary housing and support from all necessary services will be provided for the evacuees.

It is planned that evacuation measures will be completed within 30 days.

It should also be noted that the Russian Federation attacked Chernihiv region on Christmas. Occupiers struck energy infrastructure and civilian facilities. Several shellings of Chernihiv have been documented.

This evacuation is an important step to protect the lives of people in the border area where the situation remains extremely tense. The joint efforts of local administrations and the military aim to ensure the safety and support for residents who are forced to leave their homes.
