According to ТСН: On the night of November 28 to 29, Kyiv and the Kyiv region witnessed one of the most significant attacks in recent times. Russia launched 36 missiles and about 600 drones. The main strike was aimed at transmission and distribution facilities, leading to damage to lines and substations of DTEK and other energy companies.

According to DTEK's press service on Telegram, 'Due to the damage to lines and substations, more than half a million Kyiv residents and 170,000 residents of the region were left without electricity.'

Costs and consequences of the attack

The city authorities reported that at least two people were killed in Kyiv, and about 30 were injured. Energy crews immediately went to the scene and worked around the clock. Over two days, electricity was restored for most consumers in the capital and the region.

'The damage was severe and still requires complete restoration. The power is holding,' the company noted.

State after the attack

As a result of the attack, damage to residential buildings and infrastructure was also recorded, fires broke out, and some areas experienced water supply issues. Rescue services and energy workers continue to mitigate the consequences of the attack where it is safe to do so.

Earlier reports indicated that at night and in the morning, Russia attacked Kyiv from all sides. The capital of Ukraine was left without electricity and water, many people died, and even more were injured.

This attack was one of the strongest blows to Kyiv in recent times. It not only caused significant damage to the energy infrastructure but also led to loss of life. Authorities and energy companies continue to work on restoring services for the affected, but the situation remains complicated, and residents of the city are feeling the consequences of these aggressive actions.
