Russian troops are using drones to attack in Sumy region
According to the head of the Sumy Regional Military-Civil Administration Volodymyr Artiukh, Russian troops are increasingly resorting to the use of drones when attacking Sumy. The use of 'Shahed' drones has increased by 20 times, which has led to the destruction of many residential buildings and civilian infrastructure.
According to Artiukh, the Russians are trying to create a 'gray zone' within a radius of 5-10 kilometers, where no traces of life will remain. Their goal is to create a foothold on Ukrainian territory and expand this 'gray zone'. However, the Ukrainian defense forces are inflicting defeats on all attempts by reconnaissance and sabotage groups to penetrate our territory every day.
Currently, mandatory evacuation has been declared in several villages of the Krasnopill district in the Sumy region. Difficult battles are also ongoing along the border of Sumy, where the Ukrainian army is inflicting serious losses on Russian troops attempting to infiltrate Basivka through Zhuravka and Novenke.
We remind you that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky warned that Russian troops are preparing for an offensive in the Kharkiv and Sumy regions.
