The Ombudsman of Ukraine called on the international community to respond to new cases of executions of Ukrainian prisoners of war

The Ombudsman of Ukraine, Dmytro Lubinets, appealed to the international community regarding new cases of executions of Ukrainian prisoners of war by Russian occupiers. This happened after videos emerged on social networks allegedly showing the shooting of unarmed Ukrainian soldiers in the Donetsk region.

Lubinets stressed that such actions are a gross violation of the Geneva Convention on the Treatment of Prisoners of War and international humanitarian law. He announced that he is sending letters to the UN and the ICRC demanding to record these violations.

Such things are unacceptable and are a violation of human rights! At the same Time, the behavior of Russian military personnel is tolerated by their high leadership. That is why it is necessary to record and investigate each crime and ensure proper punishment!

Earlier, the 12th Special Purpose Brigade "Azov" of the NGU reported filming by drone of the moment three unarmed Ukrainian soldiers were shot in the village of New York. Later, soldiers of "Azov" together with the 49th Separate Assault Battalion captured one of the occupiers involved in this crime.
