The heating season has started across the country, except for one region.
The heating season has started in all regions of Ukraine, except Kherson
The heating season has started in all regions of Ukraine, except Kherson, where the weather remains more or less warm. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal.
According to him, the readiness of communities and regions for winter is one hundred percent. The Prime Minister noted that currently, 83% of all boiler houses are operational, heating is supplied to 70% of residential buildings and over 80% of schools, hospitals, and kindergartens.
“The relevant ministries and departments control the situation and together with local authorities understand their areas of responsibility,” added Shmyhal.
Heating for residential buildings has begun to be turned on in Kyiv
In Kyiv, heating for residential buildings began to be turned on from October 30. The city authorities made this decision, taking into account further significant cold weather. The connection to heating of all the capital's buildings will last up to seven days.
Let us recall, the law voted by the Verkhovna Rada allows Ukrainians to store 30 cubic meters of pine firewood or 15 cubic meters of oak firewood.
On October 10, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a draft law which provides for liability for storing firewood without documents. It has been sent to the president for signature.
