Russian drone destroyed 110 packages of Nova Poshta: the company will reimburse the losses.
According to ТСН: Official sources report a night attack by Russia on the Odesa region that occurred on December 31. As a result of this attack, a fire broke out at the sorting terminal of "Nova Poshta," completely destroying a cargo trailer with packages.
The company "Nova Poshta" reported the events on its social media. During enemy strikes, debris from the Russian drone fell on the territory of the terminal's parking lot, leading to the fire.
Lost packages and compensations
There were 110 shipments in the company's truck trailer, with a total value of 2.3 million UAH. All these packages were destroyed. "Nova Poshta" announced its intention to compensate clients for the lost shipments.
"We are already contacting clients regarding reimbursement," the company stated.
Worker safety and the restoration of operations
Terminal workers were in the shelter at the time of the incident and were not harmed. The terminal has now resumed full operations.
It is also worth noting that on the night of December 31, Russian occupiers launched 20 strike drones at the cities of Odesa and Chornomorsk, resulting in five people being injured. The strikes targeted residential buildings and postal warehouses, as well as damaging private cars. Due to hits on energy facilities, a significant part of the regional center was left without electricity, heating, and water supply.
The attack on Odesa region was yet another confirmation of the crisis situation in the region, which continues to suffer aggression from the Russian military. In such difficult times, it is important not only to restore infrastructure but also to ensure the safety of the population.
