North Korea supplies heavy weapons to Russia - Ukrainian intelligence.
Ukrainian intelligence chief Kyrylo Budanov stated that North Korea plays a significant role in supplying ammunition to Russia. According to him, up to 50% of the country's needs are met by Korean products. Among them are guided bombs and drone technology. North Korea also supplies the Russian Federation with heavy weapons, including self-propelled howitzers and multiple launch rocket systems.
Budanov noted: '50% of the ammunition used by Russia comes from North Korea. Large shipments of weapons, including howitzers and multiple launch rocket systems, have also started arriving.'
The head of Ukrainian intelligence also confirmed the involvement of North Korean military personnel in the Kursk region. He mentioned that around 12,000 Korean soldiers were engaged in the war, but due to injuries or deaths, about 4,000 of them were incapacitated.
According to Budanov, Russia has already received 120 units of each type of weapon - howitzers and multiple launch rocket systems - from North Korea and plans to receive another 148 rockets in 2025.
Budanov expressed confidence that the war in Ukraine could end in 2025, but emphasized that it cannot be done unilaterally. He explained this by stating that Russia needs a pause to regain strength, and also emphasized the high financial cost for the country.
