Fico's Threats: Will Slovakia Continue Supplying Electricity to Ukraine.
The operator of the electric systems in Slovakia continues to supply electricity to Ukraine, despite threats from Prime Minister Robert Fico to stop exports. This was reported by iRozhlas.
The operator of the electric systems in Slovakia, the state-owned company SEPS, stated that it will continue to provide any electricity supplies to Ukraine as part of emergency assistance in accordance with the current contract concluded with 'Ukrenergo.'
SEPS will also ensure cross-border electricity transmission through all high-voltage locations in standard mode.
It should be noted that the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico, threatened to stop supplying electricity to Ukraine if Kyiv halts the transportation of Russian gas to Central Europe.
Robert Fico has previously threatened Ukraine several times due to the ban on the transit of Russian gas. He stated that Slovakia could take measures against Ukraine if the transit of Russian gas to Europe through Ukrainian territory is not continued.
For example, the Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico called the stoppage of Russian gas transit a 'Zelensky's diversion' and warned about the possibility of reducing support for Ukrainian refugees.
