Weather Forecast for Ukraine

According to TSN.ua: From March 14 to 16, Ukraine is set to experience a shift in weather patterns, with meteorologists predicting colder temperatures, rainfall, and frost during the night. Daytime highs on March 14 and 15 are expected to range from +9°C to +17°C, but overnight lows will drop to between -1°C and +5°C, bringing chilly evenings.

Starting Monday, March 16, rain and a further drop in temperatures are forecasted. Vitaliy Postryhan commented:

“A sharp change in the weather will occur on Monday”
. This signals that residents should brace for conditions that could disrupt daily routines.

Risks and Hazards

Additionally, an active thaw in the highlands of the Ivano-Frankivsk and Zakarpattia regions is expected to create a significant avalanche risk. This poses dangers for both tourists and local inhabitants in those areas. In the Kharkiv region, water levels on the Siverskyi Donets River are predicted to rise by 0.1 to 0.3 meters per day, raising further concerns.

Natalka Didenko also confirmed that

“a cold snap is expected”
, underscoring the need to prepare for the impacts of these weather shifts. Ukrainians are being alerted to hazards tied not only to temperature changes but also to potential hydrological threats in several regions.

In the coming days, residents should closely monitor weather reports, ready themselves for colder conditions and possible rain, and consider the risks stemming from the active thaw and rising river levels. This is especially critical for those in western areas, where the greatest dangers are predicted, as well as for anyone planning travel to these zones. The changing weather could affect transportation and everyday life, making it essential to heed forecasters' advice.
