According to ТСН: In the evening in Odesa, local residents again blocked traffic on one of the streets, leading to a significant traffic jam. People expressed their frustration over the prolonged absence of electricity in their homes.

Videos from the event appeared on local Telegram channels.

The recordings show a group of people continuously moving through a pedestrian corridor, preventing streams of cars from passing.

The traffic jam stretched over a significant distance. Commentators noted that cars were stuck on Heneralska Street up to 10 April Street, which is about 7 kilometers long.

Authorities' Response

Oleg Kiper, the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, commented on the situation.

“I understand people's emotions. When there is no power for several days in a row - it is difficult and exhausting,”

he noted on his Telegram channel.

The regional leader reported that Odesa’s energy infrastructure has suffered serious damage due to enemy attacks.

“Recovery efforts are complicated by repeated shelling and constant air raid alerts. But energy workers are working around the clock and doing everything possible to restore power to every home as soon as possible. All problematic addresses are being worked on, recovery is ongoing,”

he added.

Oleg Kiper urged residents to be patient.

“While work continues, resilience points are operating in the city. Addresses are published on the official city website. There, people can warm up, charge their gadgets, and receive basic assistance,”

he advised.

Earlier that day, residents of Odesa also blocked the road on Prince Volodymyr the Great Avenue for the same reason - the prolonged absence of electricity.

Such protest actions indicate deep anger among people suffering from the consequences of the war and disruptions in energy supply. Authorities are trying to find ways to restore the energy infrastructure and provide the population with the necessary resources, but the situation remains tense. People are taking to the streets to draw attention to their problems and demands, which is relevant in this difficult situation.
