Russia and the USA discuss managing the ZNPP without Ukraine: what is known

According to ТСН: Russia and the USA are allegedly negotiating joint management of the occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, to which Ukraine will have no connection.

This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting with entrepreneurs, as reported by the publication 'Kommersant'.

Putin noted that at the initiative of the USA, there is a possibility of supplying electricity from the ZNPP to Ukraine, but the Ukrainian side will not take part in managing the plant.

He also added that the United States seems interested in the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant as a potential site for cryptocurrency mining.

According to the Russian president, Ukrainian specialists are still working at the ZNPP, and all of them, he said, have supposedly received Russian passports.

Compromise in managing ZNPP

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated there is no compromise on the peace plan regarding the management of the Zaporizhzhia NPP. He clarified that it is currently proposed to distribute management shares equally between the USA, Russia, and Ukraine, with representatives of the American side being the main managers of the joint venture.

This situation indicates the complexity of international relations surrounding Ukrainian energy facilities. The involvement of a large number of participants in managing the ZNPP casts doubt on Ukraine's ability to maintain control over its strategic resources. This issue could significantly influence the further development of events in the region and international politics.
