Russia attacked energy facilities at night: Slavutych is completely without electricity.
According to ТСН: At night, the enemy launched missile and drone attacks on energy facilities in several regions, resulting in power outages in Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions in the morning.
This was reported by "Ukrenergo".
"The city of Slavutych, which is administratively part of Kyiv region, is completely without power. Emergency restoration work has begun everywhere where security conditions allow. Restoration of equipment previously damaged by the enemy is also ongoing in other regions," the report states.
As a result of previous attacks on Ukraine's energy system, power consumption restrictions have been implemented today in most regions. Power limiting schedules have been introduced for industry and business, as well as hourly outages for all categories of consumers.
Additional Consequences of the Attacks
It should be noted that on the night of January 5, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched 165 Shahed kamikaze drones and nine Iskander ballistic missiles and S-300 missiles towards Ukraine. Northern, central, and eastern regions of the country were hit.
The head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration Mykola Kalashnik stated that the Fastyv district and Slavutych were targeted by the RF Armed Forces' "Shaheds". One civilian was killed in the Fastyv district, there is destruction of private houses and enterprises. In Slavutych, power outages have been recorded, which repair teams are trying to eliminate.
These unwanted attacks highlight the difficult situation with Ukraine's energy infrastructure. In the context of protracted military actions, establishing an energy consumption system and restoring destroyed capacities becomes even more pressing. The reaction of energy workers and local authorities will determine how quickly the regions can return to normal life.
