Zelensky Reviewed the Issue of Army Armament Supply
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff, where they discussed the defense and security issues of the country. The main topic of the meeting was ensuring the supply of arms and military equipment to the army.
According to the President, special attention was paid to the production of weapons in Ukraine, supply from partners, and purchasing worldwide. "Wherever in the world there are shells or equipment that can strengthen our defense," Zelensky emphasized.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, spoke about the army's needs, and government officials provided information on already implemented opportunities and plans for the current year. The President stressed the importance of developing domestic production and supporting private initiatives in the defense sector.
Among the main directions, Zelensky highlighted the production of drones for the army, noting the need for constant volume increases and adaptation to the front's needs. "Production must quickly adapt to the front's needs and new application opportunities for the weapons we have," he emphasized.
Attention was also given to the development of electronic warfare (EW) systems and the state missile program. The President emphasized the necessity of increasing the combat application of Ukraine's missile achievements both on the front and in Russia.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also reported on the situation at the front, specifically the Kursk operation, which has been ongoing for three months. "We are maintaining the necessary pressure on Russia in this direction," Zelensky emphasized.
In addition, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Kyrylo Budanov, spoke about the processes in the adversary's system and Ukraine's influence on them. Defense Minister Rustem Umerov presented details of cooperation with partners.
In conclusion, the President reported on the application of two new packages of sanctions: against Ukraine’s traitors and military production in Russia. Zelensky emphasized the importance of cooperation between Ukrainian sanctions and international partners.
Finally, the President expressed gratitude to all who help the state and the Ukrainian people, particularly emphasizing the contribution of the military in defending the country.
