Reserve+ App Gets a Major Update

According to TSN.ua: Ukraine's 'Reserve+' app has rolled out a new feature that alerts users when a summons (povistka) is sent to them via registered mail by the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centers (TCC). However, these notifications are not the same as officially being served a draft notice. The alert simply informs you that the TCC has dispatched a letter through 'Ukrposhta'.

The notification function is turned off by default, meaning users must manually enable it. Violeta Monastirska explained that

“if the territorial recruitment center sends you a summons as a registered letter via 'Ukrposhta', the app can send you a message with this information”
.

Why Enabling Notifications Matters

She further emphasized that

“this is a voluntary feature, and no one will force a 'summons to your phone' against your will”
. Addressing legal responsibility, Monastirska clarified that 'notifications in 'Reserve+' are not considered official delivery of a summons,' and penalties for ignoring them only apply to the physical paper document.

What happens if you ignore the alert? This is a critical point for users, as disregarding a physical summons can lead to serious consequences. Therefore, it is advisable to activate the notification feature to stay informed about incoming official mail.

This update marks a significant step in streamlining communication between recruitment centers and potential conscripts. While it does not replace official document delivery, it helps users stay aware of possible summonses, reducing the risk of misunderstandings and the severe repercussions of missing an official notice.
