Russia attacked an energy facility in Chernihiv region: trains are delayed.
According to ТСН: The Russian army struck an energy facility in Chernihiv region, causing delays in train movements.
According to Chernihivoblenergo, the damage is serious.
“Unfortunately, as a result of the rashist shelling at night, another important energy facility in the Chernihiv district was damaged,” the message states.
Energy workers plan to start emergency recovery work as soon as the situation permits.
Impact on train movement
Due to the strike from the Russian Federation, trains have been delayed. According to Ukrzaliznytsia, the next trains from Kyiv were departing with delays of up to 30 minutes. This delay is gradually being reduced during movement.
“Train No. 6005 Kyiv — Fastiv left with an initial delay of 27 minutes, while train No. 6603 Svyatoshyn — Teteriv had a delay of 23 minutes,” the company noted.
People are urged to pay close attention to announcements at stations and railway terminals.
Attack on Chernihiv region
As a reminder, the Russian Federation attacked Chernihiv region on Christmas. Occupiers shelled energy facilities and civilian areas. Several strikes were recorded in Chernihiv.
The “Geran” hit one of the enterprises. The administrative building, garage, passenger cars, and a bus were damaged. A strike drone hit one of the apartments in a nine-story building, burning down a flat on the 6th floor and cars parked nearby. Windows in neighboring buildings, including an educational institution, were damaged,” he noted.
Chernihiv region was hit again, confirming the constant threat from the aggressor. Damage to energy infrastructure seriously affects the daily life of local residents, particularly transportation services. The situation requires urgent recovery actions, as every civilian casualty is a new bitter consequence of the war.
