Russian UAVs hit Kharkiv: there are dead and wounded, including a child.
According to ТСН: In Kharkiv and surrounding areas, the evening brought a series of explosions due to an attack using guided aerial bombs. According to preliminary data, the explosions occurred in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the city, resulting in casualties and injuries. Currently, the number of wounded stands at four.
Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported that a fire broke out as a result of one of the impacts, and emergency services are already at work.
“According to preliminary information, the strike was delivered to the Shevchenkivskyi district. Information about the consequences is being clarified. There are injured as a result of the strike, and there is a fire at the scene. Information about the dead has been received — the number is being clarified,” the mayor of Kharkiv stated.
The authorities are appealing to residents to remain in shelters until the alert is over, as there is a threat of repeated attacks.
“The impact occurred on one of the busiest highways in Kharkiv — several vehicles are on fire, and windows in nearby buildings are blown out. There were people in the burning cars,” emphasized the mayor.
Ihor Terekhov also specified that currently, it is known about one deceased and three wounded, one of whom is in serious condition.
“Damaged multi-apartment and private houses located near the impact site,” added Ihor Terekhov.
Later, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Synehubov, confirmed that the number of wounded has increased to four.
“As a result of enemy strikes, a 55-year-old man and a 40-year-old man were killed. Among the injured are women aged 46 and 57 who suffered acute stress reactions. Additionally, a 20-year-old and a 73-year-old woman sustained blast injuries and were also hospitalized. A 9-month-old girl was also hospitalized,” Oleg Synehubov reported.
It is recalled that in the evening of December 25, Russian troops struck a critical infrastructure facility in the Volyn region.
This situation once again emphasizes the need for vigilance and caution among the population, as the threat of repeated attacks remains. Local authorities and emergency services are doing everything possible to assist the victims and ensure the safety of citizens during this difficult time.
