Russian Shelling Strikes Kharkiv Region

According to Novyny.live: Over the past day, Russian forces launched attacks on the Kharkiv region, damaging civilian infrastructure and causing casualties. According to Oleh Syniehubov, one person was killed and five others were wounded as a result of these strikes. The ongoing assaults highlight the persistent danger faced by local communities in the area.

Residents of several settlements experienced the impact of the Russian strikes. In the village of Hrachnivka, a 54-year-old woman was injured. Additionally, on March 18, a 53-year-old woman sustained injuries in the village of Vilkhuvatka. The attacks involved various drones, including:

  • two Geran-2 UAVs
  • three Molniya UAVs
  • five FPV drones
  • three UAVs of an undetermined type

In Kharkiv city, window glass was shattered at two educational institutions, a children's creativity center, and an apartment building. In the Bohodukhiv district, a private home and two cars were damaged. The Kupiansk district saw damage to two private houses and an emergency medical vehicle. A vehicle was also damaged in the Izium district, while a private home was hit in the Kharkiv district.

Traffic on Severyna Pototskoho Street in Kharkiv has been temporarily banned until May 15 due to repair work. These events underscore the ongoing threat from Russian occupying forces and their impact on civilians.

This latest shelling of the Kharkiv region serves as another reminder of the tense situation, as Russian forces continue to target civilian objects. Amid the war, support for the local population—which is enduring significant losses and suffering—remains crucial. Local authorities and emergency services are working to assist the victims, but with constant threats, the situation remains extremely challenging.
