Russia attacked a CHP near Kharkiv: one dead, city without heat and electricity.
According to ТСН: The Army of the Russian Federation carried out a series of targeted attacks on a combined heat and power plant in the suburbs of Kharkiv yesterday. As a result of the shelling, one person was killed and several were injured.
The mayor Igor Terekhov noted that these strikes led to a significant decrease in electrical voltage in the city, which negatively affected heating supply and the operation of public transport.
'The enemy carried out a series of targeted strikes on the CHP in the nearest suburb of Kharkiv'.
According to the mayor, the relevant services are working to determine the actual extent of the damage. Due to the damage to energy infrastructure, there are complications in the operation of electric transport in the areas of Rogan, XTZ, Nova Babariya, and Kholodna Gora. Transport companies are taking measures to stabilize the situation.
Metro operations in Kharkiv have already resumed, while rolling blackouts have been implemented in the region.
Victims
Oleg Synegubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, confirmed that currently, 13 injured and one dead have been registered. All the injured have received medical assistance.
The attacks began after 11:00 AM when Russian troops struck the suburbs of Kharkiv, with at least four explosions heard. In the morning, reconnaissance drones were also spotted in the region, and local residents were warned about the movement of fast targets from the north towards Kharkiv and the region.
These events indicate further escalation of the conflict in the region, where attacks on important energy infrastructure are negatively impacting the lives of local residents. Authorities condemn these actions of the aggressor and urge residents to exercise caution in the context of the escalating situation.
