Russia attacked Kryvyi Rih: two wounded, the city without electricity.
According to ТСН: On the night of January 10, the Russian army launched attacks on infrastructure facilities in Kryvyi Rih, located in the Dnipropetrovsk region. As a result of the shelling, two individuals were injured, and the city faced problems with electricity supply.
The head of the city's defense council, Oleksandr Vilkul, reported:
“Due to the night shelling in the city, two people were injured, one in moderate condition. In total, in recent days, 16 individuals have been hospitalized. Five are in severe and moderate condition.”
As a result of the attacks, several micro-districts of Kryvyi Rih, including Saksahansky and part of Pokrovsky, were left without electricity.
Some of the boiler houses operate from the electrical grid, while others run on generators. However, one of the large boiler houses currently has no electricity due to an emergency shutdown. Water supply is ongoing in all areas where pumping stations operate both from the grid and from generators.
Due to the emergency disconnection of traction substations, the movement of the high-speed tram has been suspended on the section from the 'Zarichna' station to the 'Maidan Pratsyi' station. The routes of trolleybuses No. 9 and No. 14 have also changed, now running to/from the 'Elektrozavodska' stop.
After midnight, during a drone attack in Kryvyi Rih, explosions were heard, and loud sounds were also heard in Dnipro. Power supply interruptions occurred in the regional center and surrounding areas.
It should be noted that on January 8, Russia launched a missile strike on Kryvyi Rih. The occupiers attacked the city with two Iskander missiles, damaging 29 multi-story buildings. One woman died, and over 20 people were injured.
Attacks on Kryvyi Rih confirm the escalation of the conflict in the region and impact the lives of its residents. Local authorities continue to take measures to restore electricity supply and stabilize the situation. The situation in the region remains tense, and local residents are trying to adapt to the new challenges while maintaining hope for a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
