Kyiv Metro Green Line Service Altered Following Russian Overnight Attack.
Kyiv Attack Aftermath: Metro Disruptions and Casualties
According to TSN.ua: A Russian missile and drone assault on Kyiv overnight has forced changes to the city's metro service and resulted in civilian casualties. The attack killed one person and wounded four others. In the Darnytskyi district, a private medical facility was damaged, including its windows, with one person reported injured at that location.
Due to the attack, train service on the Green Line (Syrets–Chervonyi Khutir) is currently operating in two separate sections. Trains are now running:
- between Syrets and Vydubychi stations;
- between Osokorky and Chervonyi Khutir stations.
Service on the Red and Blue metro lines continues to operate normally without any changes. Additionally, residents on the capital's left bank are experiencing disruptions to their heating and water supply.
This strike is part of a sustained campaign targeting Ukrainian cities, severely impacting civilian infrastructure and daily life. The metro, which also serves as a vital air-raid shelter network, is frequently affected. The ongoing disruptions to public transit and utilities underscore the severe strain the war continues to place on Kyiv's population, who must remain vigilant for further attacks.
