Air defense repelled a nighttime attack over Novokuybyshevsk: several targets shot down.
According to ТСН: Numerous explosions were heard over Novokuybyshevsk during the night. Preliminary reports indicate that the air defense system was activated in the region, likely resulting in the downing of several aerial targets.
According to the Russian Telegram channel SHOT, citing local residents, people woke up around 1:30 AM local time from loud noises — in total, over 10 powerful explosions were heard. Eyewitnesses also reported bright flashes in the sky and a fire in one of the areas of the city.
At this moment, there is no official information regarding the consequences of the attack. It is known that the defense against the attack is ongoing.
Blackout in the Moscow Region
It should be noted that a large-scale blackout occurred earlier in the Moscow region. The most significant power outages were observed in the towns of Zhukovsky, Litkarino, and Ramenskoye, located southeast of Moscow. Street lighting, traffic lights, and mobile communication were not functioning here.
