First schools and hospitals: Ukrainians were told when the heating season will start.
Start of the heating season: when will heating be turned on?
As the cold season approaches, the question of when the heating season will start becomes increasingly relevant for residents of Ukraine. According to established rules, decisions on heat supply are made by local administrations based on weather conditions.
As "Khyliya" reminds, the key factor is the average daily temperature: if it remains at +8 degrees or below for three days, this serves as a signal to start the heating systems.
The capital of Ukraine is preparing for the start of the heating season. The mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klychko, recently announced that heat supply to Kyiv residents' homes is tentatively scheduled to begin from October 15. However, this date is not final and may be adjusted depending on the weather conditions. It is interesting to note that, according to meteorologists, cooling is expected in Kyiv starting from October 12, with air temperatures ranging from 6-9 degrees Celsius.
It is important to understand that the process of connecting heating is a complex technical operation that depends not only on the weather but also on the readiness of utility services. In most cities in Ukraine, necessary checks and infrastructure repair work have already been completed, which should ensure a timely start to the heating season. Traditionally, the first to receive heat are socially significant objects such as schools, kindergartens, and medical institutions. Then heating is supplied to residential buildings.
Previously, a scenario for life in the capital in case of a blackout was also revealed to Kyiv residents.
