According to TSN.ua: Veon's Chief Executive Kaan Terzioğlu announced at the Mobile World Congress that the number of Starlink satellite internet users in Ukraine, currently around 5 million, could grow to 12 million by the end of the year. This surge highlights the country's escalating need for reliable connectivity amid ongoing warfare. Starlink has become a critical piece of wartime infrastructure, providing a lifeline where conventional networks have failed.

This expansion follows a partnership Veon's Ukrainian operator, Kyivstar, formed with SpaceX last year to launch the satellite service. Starlink enables internet access in regions with limited or no connectivity, a vital capability during the conflict. Kaan Terzioğlu stated:
