Russians shelled Cherkasy region on Christmas Eve: cemetery and Alley of Heroes damaged.

According to ТСН: On Christmas Eve, Russian occupiers launched an attack on the Cherkasy region.

Details of the Attack

Head of the Cherkasy Regional State Administration Igor Taburets reported that the enemy attack began in Cherkasy. Air defense forces managed to destroy a Russian missile over the Cherkasy district.

“We have one injured. Fortunately, it is not severe,” said the head of the administration.

According to preliminary data, as a result of the explosion, an educational institution, a garage cooperative, and a local cemetery were damaged. The territory is being surveyed, and all necessary services are working at the scene.

Statement from the City Mayor

Mayor of Cherkasy Anatoliy Bondarenko reported that as a result of the evening attack, graves in the cemetery and the Alley of Heroes were damaged.

“Russian bastards once again hit our cemetery. The monuments of ordinary citizens of our city and the Alley of Heroes are mutilated. What they are doing on Christmas Eve is the last thing that people who believe in God can do... The war against monuments, against human souls – this is their style,” the city mayor reported.
