German trains are delayed for hours: economist Milovanov criticized Deutsche Bahn.
According to inkorr.com: Timofiy Milovanov, president of the Kyiv School of Economics (KSE), expressed his dissatisfaction with the state of the German railway during his visit to Germany for a scientific conference dedicated to the financing and recovery of Ukraine.
"Appreciate and love 'Ukrzaliznytsia'. The German railway is terrible. Right now my train is delayed by 3 hours, they constantly lie about when the train will go further, they lie about the reasons for the delay, everyone is gaslighted and told we will leave soon. Other trains are also delayed. Some by 15 minutes, some by 5 hours. At the airport in Frankfurt, while waiting for our train, I did not see a single one that was not delayed," Milovanov wrote on Facebook.
Concern for education in Ukraine
Milovanov also expressed concern that Ukrainian students are choosing to study abroad, which leads to the emigration of the most talented youth. He notes that insufficient funding for public education does not foster a competitive environment. In his opinion, Ukrainian education needs significant investment and reform.
Continuing his observations from Germany, Milovanov emphasized the need for changes in the financing of Ukrainian education, which should support its development and improvement.
The statements made by Milovanov regarding the German railway highlight not only his travel experiences but also the role of infrastructure in serving citizens. Furthermore, his concerns about Ukrainian education reflect a broader issue facing the country in the challenging conditions of war and recovery. The importance of investing in education is becoming increasingly evident as the younger generation is the future of Ukraine.
