Teen Dies in Kyiv After Riding Between Train Cars: A Tragic Warning.
Deadly Incident in Kyiv's Sviatoshyn District
According to TSN.ua: A 13-year-old boy lost his life in the Sviatoshyn district of Kyiv after he slipped and fell onto the tracks while riding between the cars of a moving commuter train. The teenager was reportedly hanging between the carriages when he lost his grip and was struck by the train.
Two other minors were on the train roof at the time of the accident, but they were not injured. This tragedy follows a similar incident in Kyiv's Solomianskyi district, where another teenager died after being electrocuted on top of a train. These events highlight the extreme risks associated with riding on the roofs or between cars of moving trains—dangerous behavior that can lead to fatal outcomes.
Urgent Call for Stronger Safety Measures
These incidents underscore the urgent need for enhanced railway safety protocols and better education for teenagers about the lethal dangers of playing near or on moving trains. Authorities and railway officials must take decisive action to prevent further tragedies, including stricter enforcement and public awareness campaigns.
