China and the US avert escalation of the trade war
The world's economies, which are key players in the global market, were able to avoid a threatening development, as the presidents of the US and China, Donald Trump and Xi Jinping, reached an important agreement. The countries agreed on a 'framework' deal that suspends the threat of 100 percent tariffs that Trump spoke about and delays the imposition of restrictions on the export of rare earth metals from China.“This agreement is a step towards stability in international trade,” said one diplomat. Thus, the parties showed readiness to cooperate to reduce tensions in their relations. In the context of global economic challenges, such an agreement is an important signal of the countries' efforts to maintain stability in the world market. It can open new opportunities for business and investment, which will benefit the economic growth of both countries.
