According to ТСН: On the night of January 5, 2026, explosions occurred in Chernihiv as a result of a combined attack by Russian forces, which fired ballistic missiles and used attack drones. One of the enterprises in the city was hit.

The information was reported by the head of the Chernihiv city military administration Dmytro Bryzhynskyi on the official Telegram channel.

After the attack, fires broke out in a garage cooperative and in a private house located in the adjacent community.
