Death Toll Rises to Eight in Kharkiv Missile Strike as Rescue Efforts Continue.

According to TSN.ua: Rescue operations are ongoing in Kharkiv following a missile strike on a residential apartment block that has now claimed eight lives. The attack occurred overnight, reportedly causing severe destruction to one of the building's entrances, with damage spanning from the first to the fifth floor. This strike is part of a wider pattern of attacks on civilian infrastructure in Ukraine's second-largest city.
The eighth victim's body has now been recovered from the rubble of the building. As Mayor Ihor Terekhov stated,
"the eighth body of a deceased person has been found under the rubble of the building". Head of the Kharkiv Regional Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, also confirmed that
"fragments of the body of the eighth deceased person were discovered under the rubble of the destroyed five-story residential building in Kharkiv".
The strike was likely carried out by Russia using new 'Izdeliye-30' missiles with an 800-kilogram warhead. Search and rescue work continues, with local authorities urging citizens to remain cautious.

This tragedy underscores the escalating violence in the region, where civilians continue to bear the brunt of military actions.
